the “1935 shirt” by anatomica pays tribute to the classic american workshirts made by big yank in the 1930s, featuring many of the characteristic details of that era. from the durable urea resin buttons and triple-needle stitching to the distinctive chest pockets - including the so-called “gachapoke”, a specially designed pocket originally intended to protect cigarettes from sweat and moisture. made in japan from a beautifully textured, densely woven chambray known as “betachan”, the shirt combines traditional american workwear with thoughtful functional details and a generous dose of authenticity.
